A page for generating Excel, PDF, and AI-generated Word reports. Accessible to Admins, Portfolio Owners, and Project Owners.
As this page is fairly feature rich, we have created this video to detail the available functionality.
The Reports Dashboard provides filters to control which data is displayed. Filter behavior adapts based on the active view mode.
Project Status — Filter projects by status:
Task Status — Filter tasks by status:
Subtask Status — Optionally filter subtasks by their own status (To Do or Done). When none are selected, subtasks follow their parent task's filter. When selected, matching subtasks (and their parent tasks for context) are included alongside the task status filter.
Include Recently Completed — Shows tasks completed in the last 30 days alongside active tasks.
Archive Options — Toggle whether archived projects and tasks are included.
Data Quality — Surface items with incomplete data for auditing:
Hide Portfolios / Hide Projects — Selectively exclude specific portfolios or projects from the view. Hiding a portfolio also hides its projects.
Grouped View (default) — All filters are fully interactive.
Flat View — The flat table shows all tasks and subtasks in a single sortable list. Because it excludes Done and OBE items by design, certain filters adjust automatically:
| Filter | Flat View Behavior |
|---|---|
| Project Status | Fully interactive |
| Task Status: To Do, In Progress, Ongoing | Fully interactive |
| Task Status: Done, OBE | Disabled — flat table excludes these |
| Subtask Status | Disabled — the task status filter already handles subtask inclusion |
| Include Recently Completed | Disabled |
| Data Quality: Tasks Missing Dates | Available |
| Data Quality: Projects Missing Dates | Hidden — not relevant to a task-level view |
| Hide Portfolios / Hide Projects | Fully interactive |
| Archive Options | Fully interactive |
Card View — All filters are fully available with no restrictions.
When switching between grouped and flat views, filter selections are automatically saved and restored. For example, if Done and OBE are active in grouped view and the user switches to flat view (where those are automatically removed), switching back restores the original selections. The same applies to subtask filters and the recently-completed toggle — no manual re-selection needed.
Templates apply a preconfigured set of filters with a single click. While a template is active, the filter panel is locked — users must clear the template to customize filters manually.
Monthly Progress Report
Shows open tasks plus tasks completed in the last 30 days. Useful for recurring status updates.
Auditing Templates
Three templates designed to surface data quality issues. All three include archived items and all statuses to ensure nothing is missed.
| Template | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Missing Dates | Shows tasks and projects missing a start or due date |
| Status/Completion Date Conflicts | Shows tasks where the status doesn't match the completion date (e.g., marked Done with no completion date, or has a completion date but not marked Done/OBE) |
| Done Projects with Open Tasks | Shows projects marked Done that still have incomplete tasks |
